10. Minar-e-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan is a famous historical monument that was built in the memory of Pakistan resolution. It is located in Lahore and was built in 1968. It has again a grand tower-type structure and is a mixture of Mughal and modern architecture. It attracts tourists because it has a memorable historical background i.e ( The oath was taken here which was a symbolic step towards Pakistan). Moreover it attracts tourists because a lift here takes you up. It is 62 meters high and from top of Minar-e-Pakistan a beautiful view of Lahore City is seen. Point of interest are the Minto Park which is recreational place for children. It has not been much developed and thus is rated at 5.6 stars out of 10




9. Pir Sohawa



Pir Sohawa is the highest peak of the city Islamabad. It is 4000m from sea level. From Pir Sohawa a beautiful view of the entire city Islamabad can be seen which attracts many tourists. Places such as Faisal Masjid, Centaurus, Parliament house etc are seen.  It is a rapidly developing tourist resort. Point of interest are The Monal Restaurant. The Monal restaurant is a high classed 5 star restaurant. A beautiful view of Islamabad can be seen from Monal Restaurant (See Picture). In night Pir Sohawa attracts more tourists as a lovely view of Islamabad, the glittering lights are seen. Pir Sohawa has been developed by PTDC. Other things which attract tourists are Hiking, Trekking and the beautiful forest and natural greenery. Pir Sohawa is rated 8.9 out of 10.


8. Khewra Salt Mine


Khewra Salt mine is the world's second largest salt mine. It is located in North Punjab near Kallar Kahar. It is a great tourist attraction and every year more than 300,000 tourists visit Khewra. The salt mine is spread on very large area and has been developed much by PTDC. A small train takes inside the Salt mine. A number of replicas of some other tourist attractions such as Badshahi Mosque, Minar-e-Pakistan etc are built from salt. Salt is transparent. Inside the mine there are ponds and small lakes which are also full of salt and a person can't drown in such water. Alphabets are also made from salt and sold to tourists. It also has a small hospital where patients of Asthma are treated. Khewra Salt mine is an awesome place to visit. Tourist guides are available for convenience. There is also a Salt bricked mosque present. Furthermore a Canteen and a restuarant has been built too. Khewra Salt mine is rated 8.4 out of 10 

7. Ziarat


Ziarat is a beautiful city of Pakistan. It is located in Balochistan and is 125 kilometre from the city, Quetta. It is also a holiday resort. It is a great place of tourism because it has Natural beauty. Point of interests are The juniper forests, Dam, fruity gardens, Jinnah's residency. Pakistan's largest Juniper forest reserve is located here. It not only adds to the scenic beauty but also keeps the weather pleasant throughout the year. A small dam is also here to meet the irrigational needs as well as to supply electricity. The beautiful view can be seen from the dam. There are fruity gardens which also encourage and promote tourism. Jinnah's Residency is a historical monument. This is the place where Jinnah spent last few days of his life. PTDC is further developing ziarat to promote tourism. Ziarat is rated 7.5 out of 10.


6. Manora Island



Manora Island is located South of Karachi. It is an area directly attached to The Arabian sea. Manora is a Sandy beach and thus a picnic spot for many people. It is the only clean beach in Pakistan. It has the tallest lighthouse of Pakistan and has many small huts too. However Proper overnight hotels are not available. for this reason PTDC is considering to develop Manora into a Tourist attraction. Places of interest here are Sandspit, Hawksbay, Kemari. The open wide sea, slow and calm, attracts many tourists towards it. Moreover, the boat rides from main island to manora  are also fun for many people. It also has a restuarant. It is rated 6.7 out of 10. 





5. Murree

Murree is the most famous Hill Station of Pakistan. It is located in the Northern Punjab. It is known a The Queen of The Hills for its scenic beauty and fascinating greenery. Nature is Scattered over every inch of  lovely valleys and graceful hills. It has a really cold climate, especially in winters. Oak forests, Nature, Rivulets, Lawns, Orchards and Gardens attract tourists here. Moreover the Snow fall in winters adds to Murree's beauty and it looks as if a hill station is covered with Fluffy Wool. Other places of interest here are Ayubia, Patriata, Donga gali, Ghora Gali. Tourists are also attracted here because of the Chairlifts. The Chairlifts are automated lifts which are about 100 feet above ground. A person sits on it to enjoy the beautiful view of Mountains and Lush greenery. The Chairlifts take us from one point to another too. The famous Iqbal Municipal Library is also a point of interest for many people. PTDC has been working to develop Murree and many hotels and restaurants are set up which not only attracts tourists but also help in Economic Stability of Country. A post office known as GPO is also setup. Murree is rated 8.8 stars out of 10.

4. The Lahore Fort


The Lahore Fort is more than 4 Centuries Old. This grand magnificent fort was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar at the city of Lahore. It has a vast historical background and attracts tourists who are much interested in history. It is spread over 20 hectares. The Lahore Fort is one of the noblest structures in the world, a finest piece of architecture and one of its own kind. It has two gates, The Alamgiri gate, which is the principal gate,  and the Masjidi gate. Point of interests at Lahore Fort are The Badshahi Mosque, The Sheesh Mahal, Moti Masjid, Tomb of Allama Iqbal and Museums.
The BadShahi Mosque is The Grand Mosque and is the second large Mosque of Pakistan. It clearly shows the Perfect idea of Mughal Architecture. The Sheesh Mahal is a Temple which was build with Mirrors. Today however it does not exist in its original structure and many mirrors are stolen. The Moti Masjid is a Mosque whose dome is built with the Finest Pearls (Motis).The Tomb of Allama Iqbal is a tomb built after the famous poet Allama Iqbal. The Lahore fort is indeed an awesome place to visit, especially for people who are interested in History, Culture and trend of The Mughals. However today it needs attention by PTDC as  its not strong as it was
Centuries ago. It is rated 7.7 out of 10
